The work is decent, they cracked my parents countertop when installing a sink but didn't do anything about it.
I had a semi-emergency come up today and they were great to talk to on the phone, worked me into their schedule and were at my door within just 3 ours of me calling and finished with the repair within 1 hour. Very kind and courteous people to work with and I like that they took the time to explain everything to me as well. Thank you for a job well done!
Dishonest pricing. Charged me extra for 'out of county' work when they were already at my home anyway to do work for a subcontractor. I can only imagine they also charged that company for 'out of county' work, too, thus double charging. When I talked to the lady she refused to acknowledge this, that they were already there anyway, but just parroted the rates every time I asked her about it. I won't use them again.
Will not use Peterman again unless push comes to shove. We arranged for them to remove our rental water heater and install the new one we bought. No problems there. The problem was the bill. They were there for an hour and a half and sent a bill for 2 hours after telling me that the water heater rental company was picking up the tab on the first hour! So I know what they did.They got paid for an hour by the water heater rental company and then double-charged me! Highway robbery at its finest.
They have also done work for me, VERY expensive! I had them put a new water main in (emergency job) they charged for the time to find a long piece of copper, it had a kink in it but they still used it (?) charged for two guys, one just watched.
Absolutely untrustworthy. Had them come in to fix furnace and was told it needed replaced due to heat exchanger. Got second opinion who said that not only was heat exchanger fine, but that the last person (Peterman) had cut my blower line. Called Peterman after this discovery only to be lied to and told that the technician "had to cut the blower line to get to the heat exchanger." I asked a buddy who works in HVAC if that could be true, and he confirmed my suspicion that it was an outright lie. If you want lied to and pushed to get a new furnace, then use Peterman. If you want to be treated with respect by those who come into your home, then look elsewhere for your heating and cooling needs.
